Noel Leon Walker

Noel L. Walker, 80, of Decatur, Illinois died Friday, June 15, 2001 in Department of Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System, Danville.  Graveside services in Monticello Township Cemetery with burial there.

Mr. Walker was born March 13, 1921 in Burnt Prairie, the son of Charles Perry and Glenna Marie (Harris) Walker.  He married Dorothy Elaine Guyot June 23, 1943.

Noel served in World War II with the Air Force. He was self-employed in construction and remodeling. He attended Olney Township High School thru his sophomore year, then graduated from DeLand High School and Kansas City School of Watch Making. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy of Bement; sisters, Myrtle Pierson of Monticello, Marilyn (Ed) Olivier of Decatur; brother, Leland (Betty) Walker of Champaign; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Verne Ray Walker.
