Robert "Bob" Maas, 75, of Florida, passed away on December 20th, 2013, in Lakeland, Fla.

He was born September 19, 1938, the son of Walter A. and Roma Maas. He grew up and attended school in Olney. Bob was a pipefitter with Local 157/Terre Haute, and also ran Beal's newsstand and bookstore. He moved to Lakeland, Florida, after his retirement. He raised orchids and enjoyed antiquing.

Bob is survived by his significant other, Phyllis Smith, of Lakeland, Florida; sister, Marilyn Sue Wyatt, of Olney; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Gene Wyatt; and nephew, Mark Nicholas.

Memorials can be made to First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 700 N. Silver, Olney, IL 62450, or the donor's choice. A memorial service will be held in Olney at a later date.
