Nancy Zimmerle Tarpley, 65, of Olney died Friday April 25, 2003 at Olney Care Center in Olney.  Funeral services at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney with Minister Larry Weber officiating. Burial in Maple Dale Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Tarpley was born on April 8, 1938 in Olney, the daughter of Walter H. and Martha A. (Gardner) Zimmerle.

Prior to her illness, she was employed at International Shoe Factory in Olney. She was an avid bowler, loved to read mystery novels and enjoyed country music and visiting people. She was a loving mother of three and grandmother of one.

Mrs. Tarpley is survived by a son, James "Rick" Tarpley II of Olney; two daughters, Carol Sanderson and her husband, Gary of Olney and Tammy Tarpley of Olney; a brother, Howard Zimmerle and his wife, Wanda of Missouri; a good friend Annetta Bradham, a granddaughter, Syndal Sanderson and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Harvey "Hob", William Frank, Raymond, Robert "Bob" and Melvin Zimmerle and two sisters, Elsie Zimmerle who died in infancy, and Catherine '"Kate" Gantenbein.
