Westside Man Found Dead

A 33-year-old man was found dead by his brother yesterday in a wooded area behind the victim’s Westside home, police reported.

The victim, Ronald N. Wilson, 6702 Rockville Rd., was found about 9 a.m. by his brother, Carl R. Wilson, with a bullet wound in the chest and a .22-caliber rifle lying nearby, police said.

Relatives told police that the victim had been despondent and ill lately. An investigation of the death is planned by the Marion County Coroner’s office.

Ronald Neil Wilson, 33, of 6702 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, Ind., passed away in Indianapolis Friday morning, April 23,1971. He made his home with his brother, Carl.

He was born November 13, 1937 in Olney, the son of Charles Wilson and Ruby Kinkade Wilson.

Surviving is his mother, Mrs. Ruby Davis of Olney; his father, Charles Wilson of Anderson, Ind.; a sister, Beverly Weber of Olney; a brother, Carl Wilson of Indianapolis; grandmother, Mrs. Hattie Kinkade of Olney, grandfather, Tom Wilson of Olney.

Private funeral services at Summers-Marshall Funeral Home with Rev. Norvin T. Jones officiating. Interment in the Noble Cemetery.
