Robert C. "Bob" Birge, 72, of Olney, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Services at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Baker officiating.  Burial in Haven Hill Memorial Garden Cemetery, Olney.

Bob was born November 19, 1943, the son of Kelcy L. and Netty Evelyn (Andrews) Birge.  He married Judy Heirendt on November 20, 1965 in Lombard, Illinois.

Bob had a lifelong career as an educator and administrator.  He was always learning and trying new things; from woodworking, fishing, photography, to computers, and square dancing.  However, his greatest passion was for singing and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Bob enjoyed planning his recent 50 year wedding anniversary trip to Hawaii with his wife, Judy.  He also took pleasure in sharing his interests and hobbies with his grandchildren.

Bob was a wonderful provider, husband, and father.  He loved spending time with his family.

Bob is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Vicky Workman and husband James E. of Millville, NJ; son, Ronnie Birge of Olney; grandchildren, James Robert Workman of Millville, NJ, and Sarah Renae (Jeff) Moreau of West Chester, PA; sister, Carolyn O'Dell and husband Jon of Moweaqua, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bill Birge and Tom Birge.
