Hazel Virginia (Marsh) Smith, 76, of San Mateo, California, formerly of Olney, died Friday, December 27, 1996 at Kaiser Hospital in Redwood City, Calif. after a long illness.  Services were private with burial in Liberty Lawn Cemetery in Olney

Smith was born February 2, 1920 in Olney, the daughter of John and Myrtle Marsh. She married Ralph Smith of Tacoma, Wash.

She is survived by two daughters, Diana Aquine of Three Rivers, Calif. and Patricia Menees of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren; two sisters, Elsie Riggins of San Mateo, Calif. and Mary Lou Brown of Olney; two sisters-in-law, Dorotha Marsh of Tuscola and Minnie Marsh of Salem; one nephew, Richard Brown of Oklahoma City, Okla. and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Clem and John Marsh.
