Virginia N. (Cralle) Stevens, 88, of Florissant, and formerly of Olney, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010, at Big Ben Woods, Valley Park, Mo., after a long illness.  Visitation and services at Hutchens Mortuary in Florissant, Mo.

Mrs. Stevens was born June 28, 1921, in Olney, one of six daughters of Sam and Ethel (Gard) Cralle. She married Thomas W. Stevens on August 15, 1944. Born to this union was one son, Gary.

She graduated from Olney Township High School, Class of 1939.

Mrs. Stevens is survived by her granddaughter, Tammy Werner, her caregiver for more than two years, and her husband, Ed, and their son, Patrick, of High Ridge, Mo.; grandsons, Brian and Eric Stevens; great-grandson, Michael Stevens, of Missouri; three sisters, Marjorie Poorman, Betty Sterchi, and Norma Wheat, of Olney; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Ethel Cralle; husband, Thomas W. Stevens; son, Gary Stevens; two sisters, Eloise Harmon and Geneva Wenk, two nephews, Ronald Wenk and Skip Poorman.
