
Linda Fay (Nettleton) Uhl, 76, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024 White Oak Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon.
Linda was born March 23, 1948 in Parkersburg, Illinois, the daughter of Buford Nettleton and Ruth (Gardner) Nettleton. She Married John Uhl on July 23, 1967 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney, and he survives.
Linda worked at the Weber Medical Clinic in Olney as a transcriptionist for 28 years and then moved to Mt. Vernon where she worked at Good Samaritan Hospital for another 18 years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and embroidery as well as watching NASCAR races and going shopping. Linda took pleasure in going on motorcycle trips with her husband John and mowing the yard. She also enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, John Uhl of Mt. Vernon, IL; son, Jason Uhl and wife Denise of Mt. Vernon, IL; grandsons, Jacob and Gabriel Uhl of Mt. Vernon, IL; and sister, Marilyn Muhs of Olney.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Interment was private and took place at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont, Illinois.
