Shirley A. (Dilley) Jones, 76 of Pana, Illinois passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon. She was born September 17, 1947, in rural Shelby County to the late James Dobson & Stella (Sanford) Dilley. She married James Jones on February 25, 1968, in Pana and he preceded her on October 8, 2006.

Shirley retired from the State of Illinois Department of Revenue after 36 years and was a member of the Pana Eagles Club #4109 and Past President of Christian County Senior Center, Pana. She enjoyed cooking, the St. Louis Cardinals, playing cards and her animals. She looked forward the most to the days she got to play Bingo.

Shirley is survived by her daughter: Angela (Steve) Dryden of Charleston, IL.

She was also preceded by her daughter, Shelley Jones in infancy; siblings, LulaBelle Dilley, Margaret Gibson, Josephine Davis, Retha Wicker, Gene Dilley, Woodrow Dilley, Leatha Thomas, Roy Dilley, James Dilley, Paul Dilley, Dale Dilley, John Dilley, Bennie Dilley, George Dilley, Alverta Brown, and Jessie Dilley.

Funeral services held in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Burial in Henton Cemetery. Memorials in Shirley’s honor may be made to the American Kidney Fund.
