Stephen "Steve" Ellison, 53, of West Salem and formerly of Olney, died Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Pastor Paul Goss officiating.

Stephen was born August 7, 1960, in Richland County, the son of William and Shirley (Leach) Ellison. He married Becky Wilson on June 8, 1996. She survives.

Mr. Ellison is survived by his wife, Becky Ellison, of West Salem; his mother, Shirley Morgan, of Olney; six sons, Jason Ellison, of Madisonville, Ky., Nathan Ellison and friend, Alyssa Worrell, of Olney, Steven Ellison, Johnathan Ellison, Jared Ellison and Zachary Ellison, all of West Salem; a daughter, Melany Tracy and her husband, Brad, of Noble; five grandchildren, Cody Ellison, Faith Ellison, Jacob Prochazka, Ethan Tracy and Zaiden Ellison; four sisters, Brenda Ginder, Nora Stout, Kay Wagner and Vicky Kennedy; three brothers, Dave Ellison, Danny Ellison and Frank Ellison; several nieces and nephews; and a friend of the family, Kenny Wells, of West Salem.

He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather, Louis Morgan.
