Kathleen Zwilling, age 63, passed away in Springfield, IL on September 14, 2024. Kathleen was born November 15, 1960 in Olney, Illinois to parents, Herman and Ethel (Volk) Zwilling.

Kathleen enjoyed being around people, listening to music, going for walks, and watching movies. She valued the close connections she shared with those around her. She had a beautiful smile and a great sense of humor and liked being around family, especially during the holidays. Kathy liked helping her mother in the garden and babysitting her family and neighbors. She loved being a, “Big Sis,” to her younger siblings by spending time with them, making meals, and caring for them.

Kathleen is survived by her brother, Daniel Zwilling; sister, Patricia Zwilling; sister, Therese Zwilling; brother, Michael Zwilling; sister, Nancy (Alan) Ochs; brother, Matthew (Lisa) Zwilling; brother, Byron (Donna) Zwilling; sister Julia (Craig) Garrett; brother, Marvin (Elaine) Zwilling; and brother, Father Robert Zwilling.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stringtown at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 20, 2024, with a time for visitation from 10-11:00 AM at the church.

Burial will take place at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Stringtown following the Mass.

The Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney is assisting the family with arrangements.
