Marty L. Smith, 35, of Niceville, Fla. formerly of Flora, died Tuesday October 24, 1995, after falling about 110 feet in a construction accident at a junior college campus in Niceville, Florida.  Smith, a resident of Destin, Fla., was plastering and working on scaffolding when his foot slipped, according to a report of the Niceville police department. Graveside services at Flora Garden of Memories with Rev. Lee Woods officiating.

Smith was born September 29, 1960 in Oblong, the son of Ray Dean and Barbara (Smith) Sharp.

He was a drywall construction worker.

He is survived by his grandparents, Melvin and Luella Sharp of Clay City; his parents of Flora; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
