John Charles Abegglen, 50, of Lake Charles, La. and formerly of Olney, died in his home on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. The family will hold a memorial service at Elm Street Christian Church in Olney. Friends and family are invited to attend.

He was born February 9, 1960 a son of Paul and Marjorie (Van Cleve) Abegglen, now deceased, long-time residents of Olney.

He had been a professor in Theatre at McNeese University in Lake Charles, La. for the past 16 years.60

John leaves three brothers, Tom Abegglen of O'Fallon, Mo., Bill Abegglen of Keokuk, Iowa and Jim Abegglen of Largo, Fla., and one sister, Nancy Traylor of Sarasota, Fla.

He leaves several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Vincennes, Indiana.
