Marvin “Slim” Leroy Tanner Jr, 61, passed away on Sunday February 7, 2021 at his home. He had worked in the oilfields as a roughneck, driller, and spudder operator. Slim was born in St Louis MO on March 13, 1959 to Marvin “Leroy” and Judith Ann (Dahl) Tanner.

Slim is survived by his father, Leroy Tanner of Fairfield; sister, Rose (Jerry) Farrar of Olney; brother, Keith Tanner of Tulsa OK; 5 nieces and nephews; 8 great nieces and great nephews; and a special “daughter”, Kerri Tanner Burnett Wayman of Bend, OR.

Slim was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Tanner and step-mother, Anita Tanner.

Per Slim’s wishes, he will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held in the spring with his ashes buried in Union Cemetery.
