Rose Marie (Slater) Sepulveda, 68 of Perkinston, Mississippi, formerly of Olney, passed away at 3:42 PM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. Rose was born July 29, 1953 in Spokane, WA, the daughter of Richard and Ida (Bennett) Slater. She later married Juan Sepulveda on March 1, 1981 in Olney. He preceded her in death.

She worked as an accountant for many years. She was a member of the American Legion. She enjoyed reading books and at one time sold books online as a hobby. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandsons.

Rose is survived by her son Diego Sepulveda and his wife Joy of Denver, CO; daughter Amanda Sepulveda of Perkinston, MS; 2 sisters Roxanna Behnke of Olney and Mary Zwilling and husband Sam of Claremont; 3 grandsons Slater Bryan Sepulveda, Conrad Daly, and Morrison Daly; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Juan Sepulveda, parents Richard and Ida Slater, 2 brothers Dick Slater and Bill Slater and sister, Teresa Sibley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Olney Public Library in honor of Rose Marie (Slater) Sepulveda.

Celebration of Life Service is being scheduled for Friday, July 29, 2022 in Olney. Time and location of service will be announced at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded.
