
Marcia “Marcy” (Hahn) Zanellato, age 71 of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Sycamore, Illinois died on June 14, 2024 in the comfort of her home after courageously battling cancer for nearly 12 years. Up until the end of her life, Marcia maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, love of family and friends, and a strong unwavering faith.
She was born on March 9, 1953 to Ephraim and Frances (Hann) Hahn in Olney, Illinois. She graduated from East Richland High School in 1971 and attended Eastern Illinois University where she majored in Health Education. Marcia was married to Christopher Gubelman on April 18, 1975 until his death on November 5, 1995. She was employed by the DeKalb County Health Department in 1976 where she worked until her retirement in 2013 with nearly 37 years of service. She married William Zanellato on November 22, 1997 and was an active member of First Baptist Church in Sycamore, Illinois until her relocation to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2016 to be a full time grandmother. Her family and grandchildren were her pride and joy. While in Indianapolis, she attended LifePoint Church and was an active member of the Thursday Morning Ladies Bible Study.
Marcia was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Hahn; her first husband, Christopher Gubelman; her parents Ephraim and Frances Hahn; and infant granddaughter, Leah Collet.
She is survived by her husband, William Zanellato; son, Jonathan (Maria) Zanellato; daughters, Rebecca (Thomas) Collet, and Anna Zanellato; grandchildren, Ethan and Hannah Collett; & siblings; Kathleen Hahn, Ron (Joan) Hahn, Marty (Alice) Hahn, Wendell (Carol) Hahn and Cecilia (Randy) Steber.
Services held on June 24th at LifePoint church, 8540 Combs Road, Indpls IN.
