Charlotte A. (Worstell) Folks, 73, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, died on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. Charlotte was born on July 18, 1949 in Fort Stockton, Texas, the daughter of Paul and Etheleda (Osterdock) Worstell. She married Cecil Lawrence Folks, Jr. on November 1, 1968 in Bloomington, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2021.

Charlotte worked as a Telephone Operator and Dispatcher for GTE/Verizon until she retired in the early 2000s. She was a recovering addict and had been sober since 1991. Her and Cecil did prison ministry for many years, and they helped many people along the way. Charlotte loved to play BINGO, crochet, needlepoint, and especially, watching her shows. Charlotte loved her family very much and would be there for anyone that needed her. She especially loved her kids and grandkids and loved having get-togethers and spending her time with them. She was a good mom, and she was loved very much.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Denise (Scott) Drzewiecki; Son, Kevin Folks; Sister, Leda (Jerry) Worstell-Geltz; Grandchildren, Ryan Worstell, Ravyn (Frank) Fiamingo, Skylynn Drzewiecki, and London Isensee; Great Grandchildren, Kingston Worstell, Marshall Worstell, Annabel Nation, Amelia Worstell, and John Robert Fiamingo, and a few nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Allen Douglas Worstell.

A visitation will be held for friends and family on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a eulogy reading to follow. Interment will take place at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.
