David Steber

David Joseph Steber, 59, of Olney, died Saturday, January 10, 2009, at his residence after a bout with cancer.  Mass of Christian burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with Rev. Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Steber was born on July 25, 1949, in Decatur, the son of Elmer J. and Lora May (Huffman) Steber. He married Pam Aldridge on December 10, 1979. She survives.

He owned and operated Dave's Party Pack for 35 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Olney Elks, Petroleum Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Steber is survived by his wife, Pam Steber, of Olney; his mother, Lora May "Dutch" Steber, of Olney; daughter, Tina Luetke, of Republic, Mo.; daughter, Lori Smith, of Sims; son, Jeff Miller, of Shelburn; grandchildren, Jordan and Chenye Miller, Tyler Luetke, Stormie Blair, Jared, Nikki, Cade and Alex Miller, and Dalton, Keegan and Breeonna Smith; nephew, Danny Steber; daughters-in-law, Billie Senecal, of Farmington, Maine, and Mary Frances Miller, of Maude, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Daniel Dee Steber; sister, Teresa May Steber; and son, Joey Adrian Steber.
