.jpg) Thomas "Tom" Bartruff, 66, of Olney, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Cremation rites accorded with interment of cremains in Haven Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Tom was born January 7, 1949 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Arthur and Hazel (Guthrie) Bartruff. Tom was involved in numerous OCC theatrical plays and had played drums in the community band.
He is survived by his sister, Carol Britton of Olney; sister, Linda Hoch and husband Greg of Chandler, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Bob Britton.

I want to say how sorry I am to hear this news about Tom . I cannot say I knew him really well , but he was always very nice to me .
I went to a Christams party at Alberta McCreery's house a few years ago and Tom was there also . We all exchanged wrapped gifts and I recieved the one from Tom . It was a fairy sitting on a Unicorn . Such a sweet statue . I will remember him every time I look at it .

Tom and I were best friends from 4th grade on. We reunited in Champaign in the late 70s and started playing tennis again. You are missed greatly by me and the class of 67. Rest in peace.
