Mitzi Jane (Utz) Daniel, 59, of Olney, passed away December 04, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Services at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney with burial at Haven Hill Cemetery.

She was born June 10, 1957 in Olney, IL to parents Charles Frederic and Patricia Marcella (Totten) Utz.

Mitzi graduated from ERHS Class of 1975. She attended OCC and graduated from U of I in Bloomington, IL in 1979 with a degree in psychology and sociology. Mitzi was a member of Who's Who in high school and in college and was an honor student. She enjoyed raising Shih Tzu dogs and was an animal lover. She volunteered at animal shelters and would often bring in wounded animals. Mitzi was a member of Elm Street Christian Church.

She is survived by daughter, Amanda Daniel-Monical of Clay City; sister, Tammy Utz-Runyon and husband Jim of Olney; brother, Tony Utz of Olney; granddaughter, Makayla Diane Monical; and many loving friends and close relatives.

She was preceded in death by parents and grandparents.
