Donald Ray "Don" Yost, 50, of Bridgeport, Illinois passed away at his residence Sunday, May 6, 2007 after a courageous six-month battle with cancer.

He was born on August 26, 1956 in Olney. He was the son of Arthur Yost of Bridgeport and Mary K. Berry of Olney. He married Marty Thacker on May 31, 1980 at Red Hills State Park.

Don was the proud father of two beautiful girls, Erin Yost of Bridgeport and Courtney Yost of Charleston.

Other survivors include two brothers, Tom Yost and wife, Carol of Normal and Dave Yost of BWatson; three sisters, Sharon and Dan Ulhir of Downs, Elaine Yost of Downs and Janice and Robert Weidner of Clay City; mother-in-law, Margaret Thacker of Chauncey; several in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lyman Berry and his father-in-law, Melvin Thacker.

Don was gifted with many talents as a carpenter, mechanic, oilrig driller and power plant operator.
