Gordon A. Pinkstaff

Gordon A. Pinkstaff, age 65, of Orange Park, Florida and formerly of Olney, passed away at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021, surrounded by friends and family.

Cremation rites were performed. Neptune Society in Jacksonville, Fla. was in charge of arrangements.

Gordon was born October 16, 1955, in Sullivan, Ind. He was a kind and gentle soul who lifted people up with his humor and love. Gordon never met a person who didn’t love and adore him. He will be best remembered for his love and dedication to being a father, passion for rescuing dogs, and playing bass in several bands.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 10 years, Michelle “Shelly” Pinkstaff; brother, Lee Pinkstaff; daughter, Vanessa Pinkstaff (Mickey); stepson, Ronald Pinkstaff (Allie); stepmother, Clara Pinkstaff; brother-in-law, Mike Hardy (Mel); sisters-in-law, Patti Seabolt, Kathy Penk, and Peggy Bahl; stepdaughter, Erin Hovey (Elliott), niece, Carrie Smith (Doug); and many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eulalee and Clyde Wilbur Pinkstaff, and sister-in-law, Julie Pinkstaff.

Jeff Dickerson (1973)

Gordon was a good friend. This is a sad day. We were in band together, 2 years in Jr.High and 4 years in High School. We sat next to each other those 6 years. He was a kind, gentle soul
