
Crash Kills Olney Man in Pickup
An Olney man was killed in a one-car accident late Saturday evening near Ill. 50, west of Noble.
Effingham State Police said Daniel D. Steber, 31 was westbound on a curve on Ill. 250, when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the southbound lane and overturned in a field. Police said Steber was thrown from his pickup truck.

Daniel Steber, 31, of Olney, died at 11:34 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 1987.
Mr. Steber was born Aug 6, 1955, in Decatur, IL, the son of Elmer J Steber and Lora May Huffman.
He was a truck driver for Steber Oil Co. in Clay City and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Eagles.
Survivors include his parents; a son, Daniel D Steber II of Olney; a brother, David Steber of Olney; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; and close friend Vicky Basinger.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa May Steber.
