Betty L. Delzell, 70, of Olney died Tuesday July 18, 1995 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Dr. Bruce Owens officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Delzell was born August 7, 1924 in Olney, the daughter of Jesse (Jack) and Addie (Gillespie) Rector.

She worked at the shoe factory and was a member of the Olney Eagles and American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by one son, Loren Layton Delzell II and his wife, Helen of Xenia; two daughters, Cara Stanley of Chauncey and Jana Dehner and her husband, Richard of Olney; one sister, Marjorie Scherer of Sebring, Fla. and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and two infant sisters.
