Ethel M. Witsman, 84, Olney, died Wednesday (June 17, 2009) at Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney.

She was born in Jasper County, Il. to Ray and Edna Roney Pauley. She married Ernest William Witsman on Sept. 18, 1945. He died Oct. 13, 2004.

She is survived by her daughter, Dee (John) Carlton, Bloomington; granddaughter, Christi (Tim) Barnett; grandson, Chad (Denise) Carlton; great-grandchildren, Bryce Barnett, Tyler Carlton, Brock Carlton, Megan Carlton and Elizabeth Barnett; brother, Willard Pauley, Chauncey and sisters, Mabel (Leo) Piersall, Peoria; Rose Kimpling, Robinson; and Elzanna Lanter, Mattoon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and three brothers, Fern, Millard and Escoe Pauley.
