Mary Alice Burgener, 65, Olney died January 3, 1990 at her home.  Funeral services at Zirkle Funeral Home, Olney with Rev. Bob Logan officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Burgener was born January 20, 1924, the daughter of Reuben Harmon and L. May (Bunn) Harmon. She married John Burgener on February 10, 1946 in Mt. Carmel and he survives.

She worked for General Telephone for 8 years, then worked 20 years for Illinois Dept. of Rehabilitation in Olney. She was a 50-year member of the First United Methodist Church in Olney.

Surviving in addition to her husband, John Burgener, are one son, Al Burgener and wife, Joianne Burgener of Olney; one daughter, Roma Conour, Newton; three brothers, Marshall Harmon, Peoria; Louis Harmon, Olney; Ira D. Harmon, Marion; four sisters, Mildred Williams, Newton; Helen Griffith, Yale; Delores Sager, Oklahoma; Pauline Mills, Sumner; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were seven brothers and sisters and her aunt, Nellie Harmon who raised her.
