Jean Robert Boatman

Jean R. Boatman, 63, of Wausau, Wisconsin died Saturday morning, January 30, 1988 at Wausau Hospital Center. A memorial service held at First Presbyterian Church in Wausau. Burial in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Boatman joined 3M  Company in 1947 and held a number of positions within the company. He held a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Rose Polytechnic Institute, Terre Haute, Ind. and was manager of 3M Company’s Industrial Mineral Products division granule plant in Wausau.

Jean was a native of Olney, Ill. and the son of Delphus and Grace (Brinkley) Boatman.

He was a WW II U. S. Navy veteran and a member of Wausau Curling Club and Wausau Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Myra Everett Boatman and two children and was preceded in death by his sister, Marian A. Boatman and an infant brother.
