Cynthia L. Harris, 56 of Cottage Grove, Oregon died June 1, 2009 of brain cancer. No service is planned.

She was born Aug. 15, 1952, in DeKalb, Ill., to Paul and Cathryn Gray Foss. She married Greg Harris on Nov. 29, 1972, in Toledo.

She attended Michigan State University and held a bachelor's degree from Linfield College, with a certificate in human resources. She worked in accounting and human resources.

Survivors include her husband; her father; a son, Jason of Portland; a daughter, Gretchen Harris of Astoria; two sisters, Terry Kessler of Olney, Ill., and Deborah Foss of Eleva, Wis.; and a brother, Brent Foss of Madison, Wis.
