Jim Bowen, 58, of Fowlerville, Mich., formerly of West Salem, died Thursday, June 15, 2006 at his residence.  Burial in Moravian Cemetery in West Salem.

Mr. Bowen was born on July 7, 1947, in West Salem, the son of Paul and Frances Bowen. He married Rosella Stevens on September 2, 1968 in West Salem.

He was manager and engineer for Jervis B. Webb and project manager for Alberici Construction for 36 years.

Mr. Bowen is survived by his wife, Rose Bowen, of Fowlerville, Mich.; sons, David Bowen and his wife Audrey; and John Bowen and his wife, Michelle, of Canton; grandsons, Luke and Nick of Canton; mother Frances Bowen of West Salem; sister Elaine Cowman and her husband, Glen of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospice.
