Joyce Diane Abegglen, 58, of O'Fallon, Illinois died Thursday, November 6, 2003 in O'Fallon.  Burial in College Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

She was born on October 5, 1945 in Olney, the daughter of Stanley M. and Geneva (Coplea) Novak.

Mrs. Abegglen is survived by her husband, Thomas Edward Abegglen of O'Fallon; a daughter, Geneva Lynn Abegglen-Sanadizadeh and her husband, Farhad of Tehran, Iran; a son, Michael Edward Abegglen of Belleville; a daughter, Sandra Kay Strough of Collinsville; two grandchildren; five sisters, Nola Rae McGookey and her husband, Red of Olney, Louise Williams and her husband, Kelvin of Effingham, Mary Trost and her husband, Jack of Olney, Susie Romeo and her husband, Rick of St. Louis, Mo. and Debbie Jones and her husband, John of Olney; and five brothers, Donald Novak and his wife, Kay of Olney, Pete Novak of Orovada, Nev., Steve Novak and his wife, Diane of Hattiesburg, Miss., Tim Novak and his wife, Wanda of Indianapolis, Ind. and Stanley Novak Jr. and his wife, Marty of Olney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Shirley Brown and two infant brothers, Jimmy and Vincent Novak.
