Family services were Sunday for Barbara Joyce (Sanford) Graves, who died Friday, September 25, 1987 at a local hospital after a short illness. She was 54.

A native of Oklahoma, Mrs. Graves had lived in Santa Cruz for 18 months.

She is survived by a son, Rodney Guy Groves of San Diego; two daughters, Deidre Ann Montgomery of Felton and Valerie Lynn Klem of Santa Cruz; a brother, Jerry Vaughn Sanford of Escondido; and three grandchildren.

Interment was private.
