Walter C. Lacey

Walter C. Lacey, 59, of Olney died at his residence Tuesday May 7, 1991.  Funeral services at Zirkle Funeral Home in Olney with Pastor Bobby Logan officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by the Olney Veterans Organizations with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Lacey was born in Olney on June 13, 1931, the son of Marshall C. and Bernadine (Chaplin) Lacey. He married Josephine Telesco in New Rochelle, N.Y. on August 4, 1951.

Mr. Lacey was in quality control at Roadmaster. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Olney.

Mr. Lacey was a veteran of the Korean Conflict  (FN U.S. Navy), past president of Olney Lions Club, held several offices at the Illinois state level, serving as Lioness Chairman, life social services and past district governor-1-CN.

Mr. Lacey is survived by his wife, Jo of Olney; his mother, Bernadine Lacey, Olney; one son, Leonard Lacey, Olney; two daughters, Debra Crawley, Martinsville, Ill. and Robin Cummings, Robinson; one brother Rex Lacey, Calhoun; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lacey was preceded in death by his father.
