Vera Barbara Obert, 60, of Santa Cruz, Calif., formerly of Olney died Monday August 2, 1993 at the Dominican Hospital.  Interment will be private with memorial services at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Soquel, Calif. with Paul Pfotenhauer presiding.

Memorials to American Cancer Society or Cancer Research Division.

Mrs. Obert was a native of Olney. She attended Illinois Wesleyan University and the University of Indiana. She married Sam Obert on June 28, 1953 and he survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband, is a son, Chris and his wife, Genevieve of Santa Cruz, Calif.; a daughter, Lisa and her husband, Pat Cotrell of Saint Helena Calif.; a sister, Susanna Hillis of Memphis, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
