Julia Maxine Coan Hawkins, 79, of Noble, died Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in rural Claremont.

Mrs. Hawkins was born June 8, 1931, in Olney, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Derler) Coan. She married John D. Hawkins on May 31, 1952, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He survives.

She was a homemaker and had been a school bus driver. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney and Home Extension Association.

Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her husband, John D. Hawkins, of Noble; daughter, Donna Lee Hawkins McGrew and her husband, Dale, of Bradenton, Fla.; daughter, Melinda Marie Hawkins Bell, of Noble; son, David Wayne Hawkins and his wife, Dana Iffert Hawkins, of Noble; son, Jesse Hawkins and his wife, Jennifer Esders Hawkins, of Goshen, Ind.; brother, John Coan, of Olney; brother, Phillip Coan and his wife, Ruth, of Kalkaska, Mich.; brother, Lawrence Coan and his wife, Janice, of Elmira, Mich.; brother, Walter Coan and his wife, Eleanor, of Allen, Mich.; brother, Eugene Coan and his wife, Betty, of Sumner; and grandchildren, Chris McGrew, Sean McGrew, Dionne Nichole Hawkins, Darcie Jo Hawkins, Danielle Renee Hawkins, Dawson John Hawkins, Jesse Richard Hawkins, Jennifer Esders Hawkins, Jacob Ryan Hawkins, Jillian Emma Hawkins and Jayden Thomas Hawkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bertha Coan; brothers, Harry Sylvester and Vern Edward Coan; sisters, Emma Kathryn Coan Attar, Mary Christine Coan Robbins, Rosalie Coan Daubs, Bertha Louise Coan Branham, and Evelyn Jane Coan Sharrock; and one grandson, Jonah Joaquin Hawkins.
