Mrs. Mary Jane (Stanley) Lanning, 41, of 235 Bower Ave., Olney, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 17, 1977 at the Richland Memorial Hospital, following a long period of ill health.

Funeral services will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Jackman officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Garden section of Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral Home.

Mrs. Lanning was a native of Jasper County and was the daughter of Pleasant Stanley and Carrie (Graves) Stanley. She was married to James E. Lanning on August 1. 1955.

Mrs. Lanning was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church.

She leaves her husband, James E. Lanning; two daughters, Melanie and Stephanie Lanning, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pleasant Stanley of Olney and the following brother and sisters: Jimmie Lee Stanley, Mrs. Barbara Toliver, Mrs. Patsy Totten and Mrs. Judy Elaine Von Almen. all of Olney. There are several nieces and nephews.

A brother preceded her in death in infancy.
