Sharon Smith, 71, of Mt. Erie, died Thursday October 26, 2006 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Ind.  Burial in McKendree Cemetery in Mt. Erie.

Mrs. Smith was born on February 11, 1935 in Richland County, the daughter of Margaret Mitchell. She married Harold Smith on September 21, 1958 at Church of the Nazarene in Olney. He survives.

She was a homemaker and attended Mt. Erie Nazarene Church.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Harold; four sons, Steve A. Smith and wife, Diana of Mt. Erie, David L. Smith and wife, Sherry of Wadesville, Ind., Mike A. Smith and wife, Lisa of Mt. Erie and Mark E. Smith of Mt. Erie; one sister, Joann Oakes of Camdenton, Mo.; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother.
