Harriett Godeke Glenn, 74 of Mempis, Tenn., and formerly of Olney, daughter of Frank and Alice Godeke, died Saturday, January 9, 2010, in Memphis, Tennessee, following a short illness.

Harriett graduated from ERHS in 1953, and from the University of Illinois in 1957, with a B.A. degree in Speech. She also had advanced degrees in psychology and nursing, and her career was in the teaching of these subjects

Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. David A. McNabb officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Glenn was born November 22, 1935, in Olney. She married George Glenn on June 16, 1957. He survives.

She was a member of AAUW.

Mrs. Glenn is survived by her husband, George Glenn, of Memphis, Tenn.; son, Christopher Glenn, of Memphis, Tenn.;daughter, Alison Delany, of Vista, Calif.; nephew, Jason Godeke, of Bloomsburg, Pa.; and brother, Dan Godeke, of Fort Bragg, Calif. She will be deeply missed by many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Alice (Thomann) Godeke.
