Pauline Marguerite Young, 63, of St. Louis, died Wednesday, June 25, 1997, at Christian North East Hospital in St. Louis.  Services at Zirkle Funeral Home in Olney. Burial in Eureka Cemetery, south of Claremont.

Young was born May 8, 1934, in Claremont, the daughter of Delbert David and Clara (Groff) McFerian. She married Basil Q. Young Aug. 24, l957, in Claremont.

She was a homemaker and a member of Midwest Church of Christ in Ferguson, Mo.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Philip D. Young and his wife, Gail, of St. Louis; one daughter, Krista Lucas and her husband, Frank, of St. Louis; and one grandson, John Barnett Young.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
