
James Wayne Miller, 66, of Newark, Ohio, formerly of Olney died Monday May 14, 2001 at Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio in Newark, Ohio. A family service will be held at a later date at the Miller farm in Olney.
Mr. Miller was born on January 26, 1935 in Benton, the son of James Malcolm and Hanna Mary (Dale) Miller.
He was retired from Universal Veneer and had been a pipe fitter for Terre Haute Local Teamsters Union. He served in the U.S. Army in Okinawa. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Elks Lodge, Eagles, American Legion and Masons, all of Olney. He was a world class shooter and a member of the 1964 Olympic Trap Team.
Mr. Miller is survived by an aunt with whom he made his home, Ruth Beadle of Newark, Ohio; a son, James M. Miller I, of Olney; two daughters, Catherine Dittman and her husband, Scott of Aurora and Ann Parker and her husband, Darryl of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandchildren, Daniel and Katie Mitchell; four aunts, Harriet Jacob of Toledo, Ohio, Ramona Biefeld of Granville, Ohio, Emma Grace Blaine of Newark, Ohio and Mary Ellen Miller of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; and many cousins.
