Services for Richard Lee Cockerell of Memphis, Tennessee will be held Sunday at National Funeral Home with burial in Memory Hills.

Mr. Cockerell died Friday, June 9, 1961 at Methodist hospital. He was 26.

He was born September 5, 1934 in Cisne, Illinois son of Benjamin and Christine (Fishel) Cockerell, and moved to Memphis nine years ago. He was an installer for Western Electric Company. He served briefly as chairman of the Board of Missions of St. James Church until illness forced him to resign.

He leaves his mother, Mrs. Christine Cockerell of Memphis; his wife, Mrs. Caroline (Carlock) Cockerell of Memphis; a son, David L. Cockerell; two brothers, James B. Cockerell of Memphis and William F. Cockerell , Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Gwen Willey of Memphis and Mrs. B.R. Smith of Terre Haute, Indiana.
