Don Ray King

Don King, 66, of Olney, died Monday January 12, 2004 at his residence in Olney following a lengthy illness.  Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park with full military rites performed by Richland County Veterans Organizations.

Mr. King was born on February 23, 1937 in Bogota, the son of Seth and Gladys (Grove) King. He married Jean Stallard on December 12, 1958 at First United Methodist Church in Olney and she survives.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked at the Coca-Cola plant in Olney for eight years. He then started his own business, King Vending, which he owned and operated for 20 years. After retirement he worked another eight years for Eric's Auction Service in Olney until illness forced him to quit working.

Mr. King is survived by his wife, of 45 years, Jean King of Olney; a daughter, Rhonda Earls of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren; a sister, Kay Katro and her husband, Ron of Kissimmee, Fla.; and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
