Peggy Wilburn (Long) (1955)

Dan died on Aug. 25, 2008, 5 days before his 75 birthday.  He lived and raised his family in a small town in S.E. Ohio, having been married 53  years at the time of his death to Peggy (Wilburn) Long.  Dan was very active in many different community services / projects.  He served three terms on the H.S. School Board - American Cancer Society Board member -  two terms at a local tri county High School Board - several years on the Civil Service Commission - he coached baseball for probably 20 years ( having a State winning girls slow pitch softball team ).  He was ask to run for mayor but hadn't retired at the time, wanted to wait till he could give it his full time attention. I got used to hearing " Oh yeah, I know you....your Dan Long's wife"   smiley

He is so terribly missed, I am blessed with having many memories that keep me going in a positive direction.
