
James A. Quayle, 71 of Claremont, IL formerly of Dubuque, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN of lung cancer. Private Family Services were conducted with burial in Asbury Cemetery.
James was born September 22, 1945 in Olney, IL the son of Robert A. and Thelma M. (Smith) Quayle. He graduated from East Richland High School in 1963 and then Southern Illinois University in 1967. James served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He moved to Dubuque in 1978 until 2011 when he relocated to Florida and then to Illinois until his passing. James owned and operated Central Cash and I-Wireless in Dubuque for many years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with loved ones.
Survivors include his children, Nathan (Kristen) Quayle of Merrimac, WI and Jamie (Michael) Heine of Grimes, IA; siblings, Tom (Alice) Quayle, Sandy (Joyce) Quayle, and Cindy Dale; 5 grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, John and Bob.
