Stanley M. Novak, 64, of Olney died  Monday, April 27, 2009, at home.

Funeral services at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Olney, with the Rev. Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Crossroads Cancer Center, Hospice, or Richland County Relay for Life.

Mr. Novak was born July 17, 1944, in Olney, the son of Geneva H. (Coplea) and Stanley M. Novak Sr. He married Martina Madden April 24, 1965, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Olney.

He was an artist and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Olney. Mr. Novak was a member of Olney Arts Council.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela Novak and Mark Braun of Glen Ellyn; son, Stanley Ben Novak and wife Heike of San Diego; brother, Tim Novak and wife Wanda of Indianapolis; sister, Deb Jones and husband John of Olney; sister, Suzie Romeo and husband Rick of St. Louis; brother, Steve Novak and wife Diane of Hattiesburg, Miss.; sister, Mary Trost and husband Jack of Olney; brother-in-law, Tom Abegglen of O'Fallon; sister, Louise Williams and Kelvin of Effingham; brother, Pete Novak of Orvada, Nev.; brother, Don Novak and wife Kay of Crandall, Ind; sister, Nola Wimberly and husband Gerald of Olney; and grandson, Henry Binx Johnson of Glen Ellyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Thomas Novak; brother, Vincent Novak; and sisters, Diane Abegglen and Shirley Brown.
