Jerry Paul Weber - Class Of 1957

Jerry Weber, 66, of Mt. Erie, died at 8:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at his home.  Funeral services at Hosselton Funeral Home, Cisne with burial in McKendree Cemetery in Mt. Erie.

Mr. Weber was born Dec. 7, 1938 in Effingham, the son of Paul Milton and Esther (Christy) Weber. He married Margaret M. Ryker on Dec. 30, 1958 in Mt. Vernon. She preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 2003.

He was a retired farmer and tool pusher for M & C and Precision Drilling Company. His last ten years before retiring, he was an over the road truck driver.

He was a U.S. Marine veteran, a member of the West United Methodist Church in Mt. Erie, attended Enterprise United Methodist Church, and was a member of Anthony Doherty Masonic Lodge #1111 in Cisne.

Survivors include a special friend, Peg Orrell of West Salem; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky and Jim Mugrage of Cisne, and Rhonda and Brandon Kurz of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons and daughter-in-law, Kirby Weber and special friend Dana Hosselton of Martinsburg, W.V., and Paul and Rae Weber of Mt. Erie; two sisters and brother-in-law, Joan and Barney Barnes of Belleville, and Winifred Anthes of St. Louis, Mo.; eight grand-children; and four great-grand-children.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, one brother, and three sisters.
