Barbara (Quick) Stephenson, 84, of Olney, Illinois, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at her residence. Barbara was born December 26, 1936 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Harold Quick and Helen Blaugher. Later she married Donald Stephenson on April 18, 1954, and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2021.

Barbara and Don spent the first 25 years of their marriage living in various places throughout the United States. They returned to their hometown in 1977 where they raised their children. Her passion was her children and grandchildren. She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events and functions and watching them grow. Barbara still enjoyed visiting her Wal-Mart friends, along with her very good friends from high school. Her kindness, compassion, and big heart were her special traits. She touched the lives of so many and will be missed.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Rodney (Rebecca) Stephenson, John (Emily) Stephenson; daughters, Denyse (Tom) Eagleson, Shannon (Mark) Shan; grandchildren, Jerry Stephenson, Jessica Watkins, Joel Eagleson, Ryan Eagleson, Lauren Eagleson, Alex Stephenson, Ben Stephenson, Luke Shan, and Logan Shan; brother, Harold Quick; sister Linda Blakely of Portland, OR, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. 

A Funeral Service for Barbara will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning one hour prior.

Interment will follow the service at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont.
