Paula Roadman (Summers)

Paula J. Summers, 67, of Brush, Colorado, died Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center.  Memorial services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney.

Paula was born July 29, 1947, in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of Gerald and Beulah Roadman. She married Mike Summers on March 16, 1968. She moved to Winter Park, Colorado, in 1975.

Paula was a homemaker and mother who managed to find time to work 18 years for Hach Chemical Company in Loveland, Colorado. She was an International Marketing Export Compliance Officer. Paula was responsible for different parts of the world at different times in Export Compliance. Paula was heavily involved in training of foreign clients while in the U.S. One of her fondest memories of work was a lengthy meeting with then Secretary of State Madeline Albright, when they spent a lot of time together in D.C. explaining Hach's export compliance policies. Paula was forced to retire in August of 2001 due to health problems. Paula was continuing her education in International Business online at the time of her passing.

Paula made friends whereever she went through her genuine caring and compassion for others. She put family first in all things and spending time with her family was her greatest pleasure. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.
Paula is survived by her husband, Mike Summers of Brush, Colorado; daughter, Leann Patrick and husband (Benjamin), of Hillrose, Colorado; daughter, Julie Enoch, of Brush, Colorado; son, Jason Summers, of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; son, Rex Summers and wife Tabitha, of Jennings, Louisiana; seven grandkids; three great-grandkids; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
