Marjorie E. (McKinney) York, 78, of Peoria, Illinois passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021, at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria. She was born on Dec. 31, 1942, in Newton, the daughter of Doyle and Geneva (Chesnut) McKinney. She married Lyle E. York on Nov. 25, 1961, in Olney.

Surviving are her husband, Lyle of Peoria; two daughters, Kimberly (George) Switzer of Peoria and Kelly (Todd) Barber of Jefferson City, MO; four grandchildren, Kara McNabb,  Jaimie (Rob) Smith, Jacob (Carly) Switzer and Zachary Switzer; and great-grandchildren, Avalynn McNabb, Layne McNabb, Ethan McNabb, Emma McNabb and Elise McNabb.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Marjorie was a member of the Rome Baptist Church and she was a past president of the Peoria Sewing Guild.

A private family graveside service held at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. A public visitation held at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe, IL.
