Linda Pat Petterson, 79, of Minneapolis, died Friday, March 8, 2013 in her home, surrounded by her children. Interment Hillside Cemetery.

She was born October 28th, 1933 in Thrall, Texas to Clorice and Mary Stanford, but lived most of her life in Minneapolis. She graduated from the Evanston School of Nursing in 1955. She devoted her life thereafter to her children and to nursing until her retirement in 1999, by which time she was director of nursing at Bywood East.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Martha Palla, two brothers, Clifford Stanford and John Stanford, and her cherished son, Michael David Petterson.

She is survived by two daughters, Tami Petterson and husband, Bill Bennett of Minnetonka, Cheri Petterson of Crosby; two sons, Stephen Petterson and wife Kim-Dung Vo of Vienna, VA, and James Petterson and wife Anja Chávez of Syracuse, NY; three adored grandsons, Sean and Drew Petterson and Adrian Chávez-Petterson; three sisters, Anna Herzer of Austin, TX, Karen Krieg and husband Will of New Braunfels, TX, Judie Gustafson of Taylor, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
