FRANK ZIRKLE, 19, DIES AT HOME IN ELBOW VICINITY ~ Frank L. Zirkle, 19 year-old- son of Glenn and Florence Zirkle passed away yesterday morning May 17, 1960 at the family residence on Rural Route 7 in the Elbow and Ebenezer community. He had been in ill health for the past several weeks.

Frank was born in Olney on September 18, 1940. He was a graduate of the Class of 1958 of the East Richland High School and attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale for one year. He was a member of the R.O.T.C. while attending Southern.

He held a position with the Prairie Farms Creamery of Olney for two summers. Frank was possessed with an extremely pleasant disposition and mild manner and endeared himself to many people in the associations he made. He was keenly interested in all types of sports.

In infancy he was baptized in the Evangelical and Reformed Church and in later years became a member of the Ebenezer Methodist Church.

Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Wayne H. Zirkle living at home, and maintained a close and dear friendship with Miss Rose Carder of Dundas. He also leaves grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Zirkle and Mrs. Mary J. Coggburn all of Olney.

Funeral services held at the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home.
